Wahab Shah performs on the streets of London, Being trained in contemporary dance from Sydney, Wahab Shah a modern dancer not only performs on music beats but also feels the same from the core of his heart. In a very short span of time Wahab Shah, with his hard work, has emerged as one of the best choreographers in Pakistan and has performed with legends like Abida Parveen, AR Rahman, Sonu Nigam etc.

Starting off in 2006, Shah has been very actively producing dance based content and is the owner of Wahab Shah Dance Company. His vision has been to create a platform for dancers to be themselves and to portray their talent.

The acclaimed dancer was recently in London for the choreography of IPPA awards and we saw him dancing on the streets of London. Intrigued we reached out to the dancer himself to know what exactly was he up to and why?

“I was in London for IPPA awards where I met a community worker. She offered me to perform for the college students where she was working as a community worker. I accepted her offer and rushed for the college the next day. I was wearing my costume, walking through the lanes the locals stopped me and communicated with me and asked me what I was wearing and where I am from.”

Wahab Shah performs on the streets of London

The superb dancer will be touring Australia, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth. His tour starts from 22nd October till 5th November. Wahab Shah will be performing at the Salam festival in Australia, he’ll also be performing at the Banwat festival and Karachi Dance festival in December.

“We are aiming to the take the same concept all over Pakistan and make it like a street art performance,” says Wahab.
