She says that in Faiz sahab’s poetry

“I never felt the sense of hoplessness, there was always a message. Like at the end of this poem, although hard times are depicted, the important thing is that the country should continue moving towards its betterment. This poem is very close to me because it showcases each and every moment of that era which I call the ‘blue period’. I experienced all the things going on, but I tried not to lose hope. Never was there a single moment when I thought of moving somewhere else, leaving everything behind. This is our home and we have to make it a better and peaceful place to live in.”
