Kamila Shamsie Homefire Shortlisted For 2017 Costa Book Awards, having loved her book Salt and Saffron, Kamila Shamsie happens to be our personal favourite author. The lady who holds both Pakistani And British Nationality first wrote her novel In The City by the Sea while in college and that got published when she was just 25, getting her shortlisted for the John Llewellyn Rhys Prize in the UK.
This year in particular, Kamila Shamsie got longlisted for the 2017 Booker Prize for her seventh novel Homefire which has now been shortlisted for the Costa Book Awards this year!

Kamila Shamsie Homefire Shortlisted For 2017 Costa Book Awards, Twenty Authors across five categories namely first novel, novel, biography, poetry and children’s book were announced recently for the Costa Book Awards which is the only major UK book prize open solely to authors residing in the UK as well as Ireland.
Kamila Shamsie was shortlisted in the novel award category together with Jon McGregor and actor/ novelist Sarah Winman.
