A famous beauty expert Theertha Sasidharan said
“Smoothening is always a better option than straightening. Smoothening makes hair look natural soft, unlike the results from straightening that can give the hair pin-straight tips, which contributes a fake look.

What hairstyles do is sweep your wavy or curly hair into straight, soft and shiny strands with the help of iron rod and chemical.s  Many people prefer to have natural straight hair, which is why many experts suggest them hair smoothening rather than hair straightening. Though the process and duration of both the techniques is the same.

But incase you have thick hair experts say you should opt for straightening as hair smoothening is good when your hair are thin. So if you have slightly straight hair you should opt for hair smoothenig as the chemicals used in this process are more natural and they are less damaging. This will give your hair a natural look and yet make them look classy. But incase you have thick locks, then go for straightening but avoid doing it on regular bases.
