Indian drama serial Ishq Ki Dastaan Naagmani went viral on social media last week for a kite-flying scene that broke all the laws of Physics and common sense. The unintentionally hilarious scene books its own place in ‘The Hall of Fame of Cringey Indian Drama Scenes’.
Ishq Ki Dastaan Naagmani is an Indian supernatural and fantasy drama about “a shapeshifting serpent couple”. Much like most Indian soap operas, the show is packed with bizarre and over-the-stop scenes that will make you lose brain cells trying to figure out what you just watched. However, this one particular scene from the show takes the cake!
The scene is about a family flying kites together on a balcony and a woman (presumably the villain) cuts the string of the hero’s kite, causing him to fall over from the balcony. Everyone watches on in horror as he somersaults his way down.
However, Paro, the female lead, does a ‘Superman jump’ off the balcony to save him.

Ironically, the giant kite belongs to the villain who lets them sail off into the sky instead of reeling them back to safety. Twitterati is also confused about what the scene was all about. Some folks want to know what kind of drugs the scriptwriters were on when they wrote the mind-boggling scene.
