Tiger Zinda Hai Fails To Get Clearance For Release In Pakistan

In the past whenever a Salman Khan movie has released it has created havoc in the country as he enjoys a massive fan following in Pakistan as well. Who can forget Salman in Sultan which even broke all records and became the highest grossing Bollywood movie in Pakistan. But this year hasn’t been really good for Salman Khan in Pakistan as his films haven’t been able to see the light of the day in the country. Tubelight did not get clearance and now apparently Salman’s latest project along with Katrina Kaif, Tiger Zinda Hai which is releasing worldwide on December 22, will not be screened in Pakistan once again. The film has failed to get clearance from Central Board of Film Censor in the country.

A spy thriller where Khan plays the role of a RAW agent who falls in love with Pakistani spy Zoya portrayed by Kaif and together they team up to fight against terrorists, Tiger Zinda Haiis a much awaited sequel to Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer, “Tiger.”

With Geo Films having the distribution rights of the movie, a lot depended on the film getting the clearance from CBFC, but according to a leading daily to whom Chairman of the Central Board of Film Censor (CBFC) Mobasher Hasan spoke said, “Tiger Zinda Hai has been refused the NOC, citing the same reason as the first installment of the franchise: The image of Pakistan and its law enforcement agencies has been compromised.”

The censor board of Pakistan has a very strict policy related to movies which have themes that touch upon anti-terrorism and are against Pakistan’s national institutions or security agencies. Atif Aslam has also sung a beautiful love song too for the movie called Dil Diyan Gallan which is already quite popular but it seems we will just have to wait for another movie of Salman Khan to be made which can easily be released in Pakistan.
