The company has come up with an impressive idea for its latest Diwali commercial. Shahrukh Khan appears in the commercial as the brand ambassador for small and local businesses that suffered as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The ad, titled ‘Not Just a Cadbury Ad,’ begins with a voice-over and bytes of local businessmen explaining how badly the pandemic affected them. “This Diwali, we helped hundreds of small businesses by appointing India’s largest brand ambassador as their brand ambassador,” the video continued.

Shahrukh Khan appears in the following shot wearing a traditional sherwani. He called out the names of several real stores and encouraged viewers to shop there for clothes, shoes, candy, electronics, and other items. According to the advertisement, the local store names were created using machine learning to mimic Shah Rukh Khan’s face and voice. “Because covering all of the stores is difficult,” the video explained, “we gave the public the power to create their own version of ‘Not Just a Cadbury Ad.”
