The official Twitter handle of the Lanka Premier League has confirmed that Afridi has returned to Pakistan in order to attend to his ailing daughter, who is currently hospitalized. Afridi has hoped to join his team once the situation improves back home. However, sources in the team management said owing to the quarantine rules, he is most unlikely to return.
Afridi had taken to his official Twitter account to reveal that he will be heading back home to attend to a personal emergency and will rejoin the team once the issue gets addressed. A recent video shared by Shahid Afridi on Twitter showed how much he values family time and loves to spend moments with his daughters and wife.
Sarfaraz Ahmed and Shaheen Afridi exchanged heated words during the Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators match last night. As the two were playing against each other, an incident occurred which generated mixed reactions from fans on Twitter. When Afridi hit a bouncer, the ball smacked Sarfaraz Ahmed’s helmet. However, he still managed to score a run.
This led to a heated argument where Sarfaraz said something to Afridi and he turned back to reply to him. Other players had to intervene to calm them down.

Shahid Hashmi was also critical of Afridi, and said that he ‘must respect his elders’. He shared his two cents on the matter. But on the other hand, sports journalist Roha Nadeem was of the opinion that Afridi had not broken any rules and he is not bound to respect his elders on the field.
