Sanjay Dutt’s wife Maanayata flies to Mumbai from Dubai

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s wife, Maanayata and their twins, Iqra and Shahraan, who were stranded in Dubai owing to the lockdown, fly to Mumbai on August 11 via a special charter flight.

Dubai businessman and social worker Rahul Tulpule, who has been involved in repatriation flights from Dubai to India, obtained the permissions from the Maharashtra authorities to fly Dutt’s family home. The Indian Consulate in Dubai, also extended their support with the paper work.

“Some common friends informed me that Maanayata was in urgent need to reach Mumabi, so I  helped them obtain the necessary permissions from the Maharashtra Government for the charter flight.

Who has been involved in the repatriation flights from Dubai to India, obtained all the permissions from the authorities in Maharashtra to fly Dutt’s family home. Maanayata left for Mumbai soon after news broke out on social media that the actor was diagnosed with cancer.

However, she has urged fans not to ‘fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours’ about Sanjay. In a statement, she extended her thanks to everyone for the scores of well-wishes that triggered on social media for Dutt’s speedy recovery.

“We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass,” read her statement.

In addition to this, she also made a heartfelt request to his legion of fans to “not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours, but to just help us with their ongoing love, warmth, and support.”

Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity,” the statement read.

On August 11, Dutt shared on social media about taking the small break for medical purposes. The announcement came after Dutt was admitted to Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital, on August 8. The actor,  who was admitted to the hospital after complaining of breathlessness, was discharged on Monday. While the family has neither confirmed or denied the rumours regarding the ailment, many of Dutt’s friends took to social media to wish him a speedy recovery.
