Didn’t we tell you how much we loved the Iqra Aziz, Farhan Saeed starrer Suno Chanda? Although a Ramzan special, this Ahson Talish directorial won our hearts and became an all time favorite, thanks to some superb performances by its lead cast. We loved how Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed carried off Ajiya and Arsal and of course, not to forget Nadia Afghan’s punjabi accent. The drama serial, with its story line and its execution was a hit!
The audience was a bit upset when the drama serial bid goodbye on Eid ul Fitr. However, there was definitely a ray of hope because Farhan Saeed had told us there could be a season 2, if they found a script strong enough to go ahead with.

And now it seems, that team Suno Chanda has definitely found their calling with the next script. BBC reporter Haroon Rashid revealed this news via Twitter, claiming how he had confirmation from Momina Duraid herself that Suno Chanda’s sequel was in the works.

Whats more, even Iqra Aziz, the heroine of the drama, went ahead and confirmed that it was actually happening. Although the drama is currently in its writing stages, we’re more than excited because Suno Chanda was a favorite and while we have been binge watching the drama serial, even now, 2 months after the last episode aired, we cannot even wait for the sequel to begin.
