No, Humayun Saeed will not be starring in ‘Money Heist’

Certain Money Heist rumours took over social media by storm during the weekend and Pakistani fans couldn’t help but wonder if their favourite Netflix series was going to feature a local celebrity.

The ever-green star who marveled his way through Meray Paas Tum Ho, Humayun Saeed, had started popping up on users’ feeds as a future La Casa de Papel (popularly known as Money Heist) character.

Following this, people actually started speculating the possibility given certain local media outlets also reported the matter. Not to mention, season 2 of the show addresses a team of 65 hackers based in Islamabad, who are helping the Professor (Álvaro Morte). This team aims to track data the gang needs to win in the absence of Rio (Miguel Herrán).

Nevertheless, it seems Saeed was startled by the news himself, as he took to social media to respond to the rumours.

“Relax guys this is just satire,” he said, while asking a local media outlet to go easy. “May be you need to go a bit easy.”

He then added hopefully, “InshaAllah apna Money Heist banayen gay (If God wills, we will make our own Money Heist)

While the news about Saeed’s involvement turns out to be fake, we’re not sure if fans would be disappointed or relieved. Only Twitter will tell.
