Lahore police register case against manhandling of TikToker at Minar-e-Pakistan. Narrating her ordeal, Ayesha Beg, the Tiktoker, who was attacked by goons at Minar-e-Pakistan on August 14, the country’s Independence Day, said on Wednesday it was unfortunate that a woman was not safe in her own country.

Still shaken by the incident that befell her a few days back, the TikToker asked as to what wrong she had done when she was properly dressed and was not there to film a vulgar scene but to make a video in connection with the country’s 74th Independence Day. “Is this a treatment meted out to a daughter of Pakistan?” she questioned.

In an interview, she said she was surrounded by a large number of boys who initially took selfies with her. “To the extent of selfies, it was ok,” she said, adding but later they pushed her and members of her team close to the fence.

Giving more details, she said then all the boys and the men standing outside the Greater Iqbal Park joined in those present inside by jumping over the fence, pounced upon her, stripped her naked and tossed her here and there. “Every part of my body bears marks of torture,” she said while tears rolling down her cheeks constantly through the interview.

She said it was not that she was speaking for herself. “There must be laws to prevent incidents of rape of girls and women,” she stressed, and appealed to the administration to keep the Park shut on August 14 so that females could be protected from such incidents of humiliation.
