After a lot of speculations, it seems, Kubra Khan is back at playing the coveted Husn-e-Jahan in the Haseeb Hassan directorial Alif. The team had always maintained how Kubra was their first choice for the character but since Kubra did not have dates available, the makers had a screen test with Sanam Baloch for the same character.

Now, the news is that Kubra Khan is back in Alif as Husn-e-Jahan and will begin work very soon.

Talking to HIP, director Haseeb Hassan shared how Kubra was always their first choice for Husn-e-Jahan. “Initially Kubra had date issues and things couldn’t work out then. But now, since our schedule was moved ahead and Kubra had dates available, we have begun our work with her again.”

About Sajal Aly sharing a picture of Sanam Baloch and captioning it as Husn-e-Jahan, Haseeb told HIP, “We had a look test with Sanam Baloch, which turned out to be amazing. Unfortunately there are a number of things that have to be worked out before we can begin shooting and with Sanam, the date issues couldn’t be resolved along with a number of other things.”

For now, Alif has completed most of its shooting and the team will now be flying off to Turkey to complete the rest of its spell.
