Junaid Safdar Destination Wedding Venue Has Been Decided. Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar is getting married later this month. In a series of tweets, Maryam broke the news stating that she “will not make any request” to the government to seek permission to travel abroad on the occasion.
As the hype around Junaid Safdar’s nikkah picks up, we all want to know the details.
The invitation card reads, “Mr & Mrs. Saif Ur Rehman Khan request the honor of your presence at the Nikah of their beloved daughter Ayesha Saif Khan with Junaid Safdar son of Captain Muhammad Safdar and Maryam Nawaz Sharif.”

Sources claim that Maryam and Captain (retd) Safdar will not be attending the wedding. Maryam Nawaz and Captain Safdar cannot leave the country as their names are on the Exit Control List and they will not request the Pakistani government to allow them to travel to London for the wedding. Barbara Walters, Madonna, George Bush Sr, Cher, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Johnny Depp, Michael Bolton, Mariah Carey, and Pamela Anderson are among the many celebrities who stayed at The Lanes borough. In 2015, it was dubbed the most expensive hotel in London by The Telegraph.
A celeb-filled history is not all it offers. The Lanesborough houses a Michelin-starred restaurant, Céleste, famed for its scallop with celeriac and truffle, and the tiramisu. Will the nikkah be catered by the Michelin restaurant? We can only speculate.
