There is no stopping the ever-so-determined Malala Yousafzai who stepped into the spotlight after being shot by a Taliban gunman for writing about the ban on girl’s education in Swat. Residing in the UK, she is one of the most recognized and respected Pakistani personalities in the world who recently began to study at the prestigious Oxford University. After impressing the UN, getting a book published, having her life story depicted in a high end upcoming Bollywood movie and listed amongst the most influential female leaders in the UK in the Harper’s Bazaar UK anniversary edition list, Malala has done tremendous work for girls’ right to an education.
Hollywood Actress Emily Blunt Lends Support To Malala Yousafzai
Having come across the news on Malala’s twitter, we were so proud to see Hollywood stars reaching out to Malala and lend their support for a noble cause; to stay committed to girls’ education. Being a mother of two young girls, Blunt felt it was important to help the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate out by making phone calls to people who support girls’ education and equality.
Having shared a message on Malala’s blog, she wrote,
“When I heard about Malala’s plan to call donors on #GivingTuesday to thank them for their commitment to girls’ education, I knew I had to pick up the phone too.”

“I am the mother of two young daughters and I know their inquisitive nature is shared by girls everywhere.”
With Malala Yousafzai working relentlessly to ensure that every girl is given a right to a education, Blunt stated her reason for joining hands with her by saying,
“I want to live in a world where every girl has the same opportunity as my daughters. That’s why I give support to The Malala Fund. Malala, my daughters and millions of other young women around the world are our hope for a better future.”
