In an Instagram post, Shafi denied the baseless claims associated with her last week. An Instagram fan page of Azam had claimed in a post that Shafi has expressed her fondness for the cricket and that she is eager to date him.
Shared on an Instagram fan page of the batsman, the caption of the picture of Shafi and Azam insinuated the former’s affection for the Karachi Kings star batsman. “I always stick to the television when he is batting, and when he gets out, I switch my television off,” the post read, adding, “I would love to date him, I just love him.”

The Aaya Lariye singer then took to Instagram and slammed the fake news. “I have no idea who this is and why it exists,” she wrote. She went on to add, “It makes zero sense, 100% concocted out of thin air. This quote is fabricated.”

The singer then tagged Instagram and asked them to take the post down. She refrained from commenting on the matter further.
The Pakistani cricketer trended atop on social media last week, following the conclusion of Pakistan Super League matches in Karachi. He was even declared the Man of the Match for his stellar half-ton. He also became the only player to win the award in two consecutive playoff matches in a single edition of the Pakistan Super League.
In addition to this, the model and actress also tagged Instagram to take the post down. She has refrained from commenting on the matter any further.
