My kids are sleeping at the moment—they’ll wish me too. And the news channels have been announcing that Bushra Ansari has completed 69 years of her life. Thanks to Allah for blessing me with such a memorable journey. It’s a strange phenomenon that people age-shame you for living a beautiful life filled with unforgettable experiences. I thank God for this blessing, despite the ups and downs. I never hide my age. We’ve been working for decades—my daughter was just one year old when I started working. What would I achieve by hiding my age? I won’t suddenly become Mahira Khan or Hania Aamir. I’ll still remain a mother and a person of my age.”
