Ayesha Omar gives befitting reply to troll for inappropriate remark

Popular actor Ayesha Omar on Tuesday hosted an event in Karachi where Turkish actor Engin Altan Duzyatan met three terminally ill Pakistani children via a video link.

The event was arranged by Make-A-Wish Foundation and attended by the Turkish Consul General Tolga Ucak along with other prominent figures from the entertainment industry including Humayun Saeed, Nadeem Baig and Zeba Bakhtiar.

During the session, Duzyatan had a chat with the terminally ill children who wished to meet the Turkish star – reason why the event took place to begin with. And Omar uploaded pictures from the occassion on her social media along with an entire video of the happenings. Several lauded her for representing the cause and the country in front of the Turkish celebrity.

The user wrote, “Yaar tum logon ko Ayesha Omar he mili thi represent karnay ke liye? Kya image gaya hoga Turkey walon ke paas hamara, Ajeeb. (You guys couldn’t find anyone but Ayesha Omar to represent us? What image would that have given out?)” But instead of infuriating the actor, the comment made the celebrity sad as she responded in hopes to meet the standards of her followers someday.

To further clarify so her comment doesn’t leave a sour taste in the user’s mouth, Omar wrote, “This is not meant in jest or sarcasm. Your comment made me sad. I try my best to represent my country well anywhere in the world. I mean it from my heart. “Omar wrote, “I’m sorry you didn’t approve. I’m extremely grateful and honoured that the organisers and board of directors thought I was worthy of this. I hope I can meet your expectations and standards someday – Will keep on trying.”
