Amjad Sabri Qawali Institute Is Opening Soon, “Amjad Sabri is not dead. He is between us, snooping to us. People like him don’t pass away. Those who kill them die.”
These were the words of the culture minister Syed Sardar Shah in the event organised in the memory of late Amjad Sabri. Amjad Sabri’s family containing his brothers and kids willingly funded in the event which was originally scheduled to held on 22nd June but was held initial. The show started with M. Wasi Nizami. It also included the wonderful performances by Farid Ayaz and Abu Muhammad who also shed light on the life of Amjad Sabri.
Mr Shah also announced the about the opening of a qawali Institute in the name of Amjad Sabri in Sindh as a tribute to him and his family. He informed everyone about Billawal Bhutto Zardari’s meeting with the Amjad Sabri family in which he had already promised for an institute that will train the young Qawals. Mr shah said that the Institute has already been made and will formally start in August.
Amjad Sabri’s heart-pulling death a year ago stunned all his fans but Folklores like him never die and the Amajd Sabri Institute is certainly an example that will keep him thriving in our hearts ever.
