Ali Sethi Made Himself Second Pakistani to Perform at Harvard’s Iconic Sanders Theatre

With his amazing and hypnotizing execution, Sethi conveyed established Sufi verse to the contemporary stage. Acclaimed artist and Coke Studio star, Ali Sethi turns into the second Pakistani vocalist to perform at renowned Sanders Theater at Harvard Law School after late music maestro Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. The eminent vocalist, a graduate of Harvard, performed at the finale of 27th Harvard’s ARTS FIRST Festival 2019 on Sunday, May 5.

With his wonderful and hypnotizing execution, Sethi conveyed established Sufi verse to the contemporary stage. He performed traditional and people music which is his strength, speaking to the Sufi culture of South Asia. He was joined on the phase by his instructor and guide, Harvard Professor Ali Asani, and the Grammy-winning music maker Noah Georgeson.

Sethi’s presentation at Harvard was a blessing from heaven for the artist. He said: “I had this fantasy one day I would remain on the phase in Sanders Theater and speak to those parts of my way of life that I know and love. What’s more, since dream is materializing,”

Harvard Arts Festival, which is the biggest of its sort at any North American college, features the innovativeness and ability of understudies, workforce, graduated class, and different individuals from the Harvard people group.
