Fatima Effendi was offered a Bollywood movie by Director Anees Bazmi. But she refused to work.
She said to Roznama Express, ” Anees Bazmee called me and praised my drama serial and asked me to work in his film. I asked him about the story and the character I’d portray but refused to sign the movie because it required me to play a bold character”.
Pakistani Celebrities who rejected Bollywood offers
- Sajal Ali:
Our talented Pakistani actress, Sajal Ali also refused to work in India. She said, “If I can achieve the same level of fame and respect in my country why would I want to go to Bollywood?”
- Sanam Jung:
Our cutest morning show host, Sanam Jung has done hit dramas in Pakistan.

She said in an interview to a magazine, “When I said I would not do bold scenes, they replied they could ‘cheat’, but even if they cheat a scene, the audience will think I have done it. So Bollywood is out of the question”. Advertisement

After getting success in Bin Roye, Humayun Saeed had not failed to impress audience through Jawani Phir Nahi Ani.
He said, “I’m in no mood to work in Bollywood right now. I have no issues working in Bollywood, but it has to be a really strong project to sway me. Otherwise, I’m feeling no urge to go now.”
Shahid Shahid also rejected Bollywood movies.
Saba Qamar: Saba Qamar has rejected four Bollywood movies.
In an interview to HSY she said, “I think our focus should first be on our own film industry. If they give a role alongside Ranbir Kapoor or Shahrukh Khan, it makes sense, but not if it is with Randip Hoodha or Emraan Hashmi.”
Update:
Saba Qamar was about to work in a Bollywood movie with Irfan Khan but that film is delayed and may be indians will cancel their decision of signing Saba Qamar in that movie because of borden conditions of India and Pakistan.
